The last time I was setting in the doctors office I was flipping throug a magazine. I came across an article about cutting cost on makeup. It included two websites in the artclie… http://www.bionic-beauty.com and http://www.eveorganics.com. I hardly ever visit sites that are listed in articles, but I decided to check these out. Eve Organics actually overs a sample for a $0.50 shipping fee (not bad for an eye shadow or something that you can get a few uses out of) but Bionic Beaty has links that are added as often as they are found for free samples. Thus far I ordered a free sample of Dove Hair Care Products (not just one product), Dove Body Wash, Nivea Body Wash, nutrogena for men, Shimmering Body Lotion, a different lotion that I don’t remember the name of, a sample of Good Nights for kids, and a couple of other things. Most of these samples were actually offered by Walmart.com. You just type free samples into their search engine and a list of things pop up. I know that right now they have samples of different feminine hygeine products, the Good Nights, Viva Paper towels, and a couple of other things. I also found a pretty awesome site on my own… http://www.signatureminerals.com . They offer a sample pack of six products of your choice for only a shipping cost of $5.35. You can choose from foundations, eye shadows, concelers, color correctors, blush and bronzers. I am currently awaiting the arrival of my sample kits. Another option is Mary Kay. A fantastic company with a great product. You can hold a make over party and get free and reduced cost items based on the amount of orders that are placed at your party! Plus you get to try before you buy and most consultants give a few days to close a party so you can still get orders from friends that were unable to attend. And my last suggestion is drug stores. I know everyone thinks that they are over priced and outrageous, but the truth is if you go in and look at only the orange or red tag clearenced items you can find some great deals. For example, I was in Wal-Greens yesterday and found Salley Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear polish yesterday for $0.72!!! It is normally priced around $5.00 a bottle and I got two different colors for $1.44! That’s a savings of $8.56! They had plenty of other items that ranged from $7-$10 for only $2.19. You just have to keep your eyes open, and sometimes pick up something that you don’t need to replinish at that time, but its better than waiting until the newer item has replaced it at 2 to 5 times the cost.
